Welcome Sunday Sermon Outline
Luke 15:11-32
I. Intro.
Welcome to worship! Begin a new school year, good time to think about who we are as a church. 20th school year. Learned a few things. Not the biggest- Mt. Olivet, Mpls., St. Andrews, Faith, F.L., Eagle Brook. Won’t be the flashiest, not in DNA of most Lutherans, Won’t be the wealthiest, not Minnetonka, Dellwood, North Oaks, won’t have unlimited programs to meet every need. One thing we can be is a family, people drawn into community, brought together by a shared faith, who know each other, worship together, grow together, serve together. (Here show about a dozen church pictures) We’re not so large that we can’t shake hands after worship, greet each other by name, know leaders, express concerns, sense of family. Like any family, warts, flaws, but work through those things, forgive each other, stay connected, move forward. Read More...
